Will you help make a quilt?

 

Do you LOVE to celebrate the first of the month? Do you embrace it, have a party for it? Sounds a bit nutty but since I work for myself and work at home I have to find ways to really celebrate things because I don't have my old ways of referencing time. No days off, no weekends, no regular holiday type stuff.

So today is Happy March day and I want to celebrate it by making a quilt for charity.. but not just any charity.. a very special one.

I mentioned this in my newsletter the other day, but really want to put the call out BIG TIME.  I have been supporting the charity quilt efforts of my good friend Victoria Findlay Wolfe's Bumble Bean Basics  project for a few years now.

Victoria's tireless work to help those in need inspires me. She is not only giving her own time and quilts to help, but she get's the job done fast and quick with her amazing connections. I know a quilt goes to someone in need RIGHT AWAY when Victoria handles the project.

I'm so proud to help her organization go to the 'next level' of helping others. She has a new website and new quilt drive and its SO AMAZING!

100 baby quilts and lap/twin quilts for their mama's.  Victoria has a short video explaining what this drive is about and why it is so important to her, the children, and their families.

Please join me and make a quilt.

I'm spending my whole weekend on quilts for this project! (and probably most of this month). Tomorrow I'll finish the Traffic Jam top, and I also have two baby quilts in the works too. I'll measure the first one (Scrap Happy?) and do what I need to so it's the right size. That will make two adult size for them! I'm so excited to be a part of this new quilt drive!! Victoria rocks!
