I loved reading Nancy Drew and Cherry Ames and read them all at least 4 times! I so wanted to be just like Nancy Drew. They are all my favorite, can't pick just one. I have most of the original books that my mother and aunt read. Forty yrs later and I still like to curl up with one. My sewing and reading books have been packed up for the last 15 months while we have been renovating my quilt studio and family room.

CHRISTINA MACKENZIE

I don't remember m favorite Nsncy Drew book but I read them all and loved them. Phyllis A. Whitney also wrote some mystery book for kids and I read them all to as well as the Hardy boys but my most favorite book had to be the very first chapter book I ever read "Mr Poplers Peguins". I so wanted that swimming pool in our basement along with those birds. I used to dream about them in techna colour. LOL.

Bev Gunn

Nancy Drew (we had the whole series in the 1960's) and Cherry Ames, RN (again, the whole series)! Our mom believed in reading as a way of learning about things we could not go to see. I still love to "travel" by books!

Ann Hudson

I LOVED Little House on the Prairie, still do! I collected the mystery series for girls: Trixie Belden, I could read for hours on end as a kid and which I had all that lovely lazy time back now! Thanks for the great giveaway, your quilt is awesome!

MARY

i had 2 series of books I loved. Nancy Drew and Cherry Ames. Cherry Ames were mystery stories involving a nurse who solved the mysteries. I had the whole set of both books.

Karrie Smith

I loved reading The BabySitters Club series. I only remember reading a few Nancy Drew books from the Library, but gave up bc I had to read them in number order, and they had many missing :) Thanks for the chance to win!

Mary Garrett

I can't believe I missed these when I was growing up. Right now, I'm reading some that friends have recommended as their favorites . . . Old Clock, Jewel Box . . next up, Whispering Statue.
Wonderful books!

Annmarie Tegen

The Nancy Drew books were my favorite childhood reads. My Mom bought me one every month instead of getting an allowance as she knew how much I loved them. I kept them in a wooden crate on a rug in a closet that had a slanted ceiling and a bare light bulb. Whenever I didn't answer when my Mom yelled, "Annmarie, get your nose out of that book & do your chores!" she knew where to find me - laying on the rug in the closet reading a Nancy Drew! The fabric is AWESOME!

Ruth Wooden

I loved any horse book I could find at the library. So....Black Beauty

Mary Nemarich

I just devoured anything by Enid Blyton
Her books were read at every available moment :D

Sharon Wright

What a lovely idea to do a Nancy Drew quilt. I loved the mysteries, but another of my favourites was the Secret Seven series. I was intrigued and had my own clubhouse with meetings and detective/sleuth stories being told to all my little friends in the shed, and they could only enter with a special password. My childhood was such fun!!! Lots of blessings from Sharon Wright.

Kris

I would have to say I was a Little House on the Praire girl. I think Caddie Woodlong was another one. I love the homestead type books.

Pat Derry

I have to say a memorable one was "Fun with Dick and Jane! Why an early reader..because it was my beginning to a love of books. Learning to read was and has been the best thing in life, next to quilting, lol. While I am an avid reader, so were both of my daughters and now all five of my grand-daughters also are avid readers. YES!

Suzanne Tobey

I used to read Nancy Drew with a flashlight under the covers! I had a neighbor who had ALL the books and let me borrow whatever I wanted. Heaven! Love your quilt.
