I'm curious.. have you put words on a quilt?
What did you say?
This is my 'Be Thankful' quilt, one of my all time favorite patterns I've designed.
When I heard about the "In Your Words" blog hop I had to join in!
Words are my favorite thing to add to a quilt, well.. maybe after flowers...
The hop starts tomorrow and I am on the last day, Jan 16th. Which is VERY good as my project is not quite completed... not saying how much it's not.. but let's say it's good I'm the last day.. wink!
CLICK HERE tomorrow to check out how creative people are with words on quilts.. and some blogs might even have a giveaway going on! Check each day and have some fun.
I'll show you my project on the 16th!

After I found Tonya Riccuci's book Word Play Quilts, I made a whole word quilt for my nephew's new baby. It's full of baby words: eat, burp, cry, fuss, nap, sleep, dream, grow, wonder, learn, etc.

Just had to comment. Myself and 3 other friends got together a couple of days and made your "Be Thankful" quilt. It is timeless!!! We loved them.

I like quilts with words and I have done one or two. I love baskets so I better make your design. I am pretty sure I have it in a book of yours. I think I will go and look.

So funny that you ask this, because I was just wandering around the internet looking at quilts with words. I just finished a BOM calendar quilt, and I think I am going to put "thirty days hath September.........etc" on the border around the calendar blocks.

I've decided that since most quilts remind me of a song, I'm going to start quilting song lyrics around the borders.

I pieced my the names of my nephew and nieces on their quilts. Sometimes I have written messages on quilts with permanent pens or embroidery.

I haven't done words on quilts before, I'll have to try it. That's going on my list for 2013...design a quilt with words!
