It makes for the Best Email day EVER when someone sends me the photo of a quilt!!
Denise shared her version of my "Walk in the Moonlight"... holy cow I was over the moon to see it!!!
Seeing quilts you make from my designs or fabrics is the best part of this job, really!! I love when you take my work and make it your own. Use your own colors, change things up a bit.. or a lot... and generally make my designs work for you!
She did just that when she used only the bottom vase and flowers of my quilt. Keeping the pieced background, the blocks (see them?) and it's bed size!
This is my "Walk in the Moonlight". It is by far one of my favorite quilts (shhh... don't tell the others!) I loved making it and I still love it everytime I take it to a workshop to share.I loved working on that dark purple black background and using light applique shapes. Like taking a garden walk on a moonlight night (well one in the SUMMER not in January.. but you get what I mean.. wink!)
This quilt is in my book "Learn to Applique". This book has all my directions for how I do fusible applique. The front part of the book is a 'class' all on it's own. There are a lot of projects to take you from something small all the way up to "Walk in the Moonlight". You build your applique skills as you do the projects.

I'm working on my plan for the year.. yes.. my plan! It makes me so happy to HAVE a plan... a list... a list of lists... bring it on! (are you like that too?)
ummm... as I was say... the plan is that each month I'll be sharing
- quilt along encouragement (Red Apple Lane, Girls in the Garden, and I think we need to piece a quilt.. wonder which one we should do?)
- UFO busting tips will be showing up twice a month so you can move those UFOs into Quilt Status!
- and I'll have some reviews and I'm sure a bit more!
I know you love to see what others have done and you love to share what you've done. Show and tell is the BEST.. the best I say!
You have blogs, and flickr folders, craftsy project page... maybe a few other hidden spots where you share your photos of your fantastic projects.
And I want to see them! We all want to see them! I will be doing link parties this year so we can "Show and Tell" or just show off.. which ever suits you best.
Today I want to see WHERE you share.. use the linky below to share where your crafty goodness is hiding.
Have you visited my spots on the internet?

Thanks Pat...I'm working on a hexagon quilt at the moment...which seems to be a never ending project. Of course I think there are about 12 other works in progress too! Last year I did a block a day which was great for making time management be a priority!

Thanks for letting me add my little blog. It's my little piece of the internet to show what I've done and tried. I try to sew as much as I can but working and family doesn't give me as much time as I would like. I'm in awe of all the beautiful work people do and I'm still learning!

Wow, beautiful quilts...it's amazing how each of us interprets our quilts in a different way.
Looking forward to your link parties - I have been quilting about 7 years and blogging for...six? This is my second blog - but I tell you I have learned more from quilt bloggers than anywhere else. It's really an amazing community, and how cool is it that with the internet you can connect with well known respected teachers and artists on a one on one basis. It's truly amazing!
