Are you hard at work extracting UFOS from their hiding places? Climbing into the attic, looking under beds, checking random totebags for vagrant UFOs that have not heard the warning that it's TIME TO BE COUNTED?
My thought have been CONSUMED with my UFOs
CONSUMED!
And now... NOW they are NAGGING me .. SERIOUS.. I need to focus on other stuff and they are out in the open area of my studio NAGGING me to look at them,
Pat.. look here.. see how pretty I am.. work on me... get off the computer and come look in THIS bag.. i have cookies... chocolate.... COFFEE
...Pick me .. Pick me!!!
I had to move some to the dining room they were too noisy, I couldn't work
There are a LOT of empty spots in my studio right now waiting for the sort and purge to happen
And it's going to .. but not this very second.. but soon.. the nagging is deafening.

I do love pinterest http://pinterest.com/k_row/ especially for the visual bookmarking aspect.
I can't even imagine getting out all my UFOs, some are packed in boxes right now. When I get settled I know I will have to make an inventory of them and just get rid of some. But not yet!

No way am I going to even go and look at Pintrest! I spend way too much time browsing instead of sewing as it is! LOL!
I took last years list and updated it... adding, subtracting. I still have some projects in baskets that I think need to be counted if I'm going to be acurate. I found two while I was looking for the binding for Lucky Charms, so I now there are more out there ::)

Last year I uncovered all of my UFO's and built the "tower of shame" in a corner of my quilt studio. I cannot get to my fabric without seeing it...makes me think twice about new projects! this year I posted a list on my blog of the twelve UFO's that I will focus on (only now it is 13 UFO's...duhhh)

I skipped the list-just started on a small table by the sewing machines that seems to be the "dump" table. Have one item OFF the table and kicked up to the next step-2 more under the machines and still debating on one of the projects as to what to do. But, making progress and hope to have the little table cleared by the end of February. So far, so good!

UFO's are stored on their own set of shelves. They aren't allowed to mingle with the other fabbies, they would be a bad influence on them. LOL They are being worked on. I'm not getting "sucked" into pinning right now.Have to many UFO's to finish first. I did look & I can see how much fun it would be, but I'm resisting, for now.

I LOVE pinterest. http://pinterest.com/kristenk1/ I'm still trying to get up enough courage to open that UFO closet....I just need to get in there and get to work.

I tore through my studio searching for UFOs right before the New Year. I have a shocking number of them (that I won't share), but I knew that a few were missing. After two weeks, I finally found the last box of UFOs hiding behind the batting rolls. I think (hope) that I have them all now. On to the finishing!

As for UFO chasing I at least have started writing down in ONE spot all the "kits". ( ziplock with fabric and patterns) I have so I can work on them! Small steps, small steps....

I do enjoy Pinterest. I check it multiple times a day and have found it's easy to pin things right away so I can find them back. My sister and I follow each other and have fun commenting on each other's pins.
As for the UFO challenge - I pinned 4 quilts and have them ready for quilting. They are added to the other 3 quilts that are waiting for quilting. Now, I just have to stop starting new projects....

I AM trying to work on my list of UFOs, I really am! I keep getting distracted! But I am getting some great ideas for them too. My big revelation this year is that I don't have to finish the project the way it was originally intended! Make some thing smaller and get it done.
I love Pinerest- it's so addi ting! Here is my link: http://pinterest.com/deb_mchugh/
