I go to Kelly Ann's frequently and really like them. They are helpful and Kelly Ann is so nice. I am thrilled to see Pat Sloan go there too! :)

I live in Virginia, but Material Girls in LaPlata, Maryland is my shop. They are friendly, helpful and have the most amazing fabrics! www.materialgirlsquilt.com

(Have also had the pleasure of visiting Kelly Ann's for Tour de Quilt and Quilt Quest. Such a nice selection!)

Barb

My very favorite here in Va closed a few months back. I know go to Web Fabrics which I also love. Kelly Ann's seems to be about an hour from me so I definitely have to go check it out.

My favorite shop is Ivy Thimble at www.ivythimble.com. The ladies are so wonderful and inspiring. It's 45 min away but I happen to have a class there on the 24th. Perfect!

Sharon Hughson

My favorite LOCAL QS is MouseCreek Quilts in Howell, NJ. It's big and most important to me VERY friendly. Yes, I have been to shops that are not friendly. I don't leave any money in those. LOL

Terri in BC

My favourite local quilt shop is Hamel's Fabrics in Chilliwack, BC. They have an amazing shop packed with fabric of all kinds, and also a large internet shop. I love to shop "on-line", then go to the store to pick up my order (and add to it!). You can see pictures on their website at www.hamelsfabrics.com.

My LQS is http://www.voguefabricsstore.com; and I did visit them today for my Kona fix :)

Wanda

There are three quilt shops in Anchorage, but my favorite is The Quilt Zone.
http://alaskaquiltzone.com/frontpage
The owner has worked at the other two shops in the past and is very hands on in her shop. She listens to the customers and is wonderful at helping with selecting fabrics or colors or textures that go together. She also designs her own quilts and teaches classes. Her employees are wonderful women who are very helpful and caring.
I recommend it to everyone who may travel to Anchorage.

Joyce Jackowski

So glad you featured Kelly Ann's, because that is my favorite!

Ruth Lowery, Springfield, VA

Love, love, love Kelly Ann's Quilt Shop! And Kelly Ann too! The whole staff are always so friendly and try to be helpful with all your needs. If they don't know they try to find a solution!

Cindy Dickinson

Klassy Katz in Bartlett, TN is my favorite shop. Waving to the owner, Toni Katz!

I live about equidistant to 3 quilt shops, but my favorite one is a bit farther away, Capital Quilts in Gaithersburg, MD. http://www.capitalquilts.com/ I have been to Kelly Ann's shop a few times, it is a lovely shop also. Thanks for the giveaway.

We are lucky to have Needle and Thread quilt shop here in Valparaiso, IN.

My Favorite Tucson Quilt Shop is The Quilter's Market on East Speedway. Lynda Luiten is the owner and she and her staff are the most exciting ladies to shop with and work with.

I spent yesterday there doing the "Great Scrap In" stitching 3" finished HSTs for a batik pinwheel quilt.

I live in a really small town in South Dakota and am lucky to have a local quilt shop. www.heartsongquilts.com They aren't real big but carry quite a variety of fabrics like batiks, australian aboriginal, Jason Yenter, and Marcia Derse among others.

Dixie

Actually my favorite quilt shop is across the country in Seattle, Wa. at Pikes Market. It is Undercover Quilts & I love that shop. One of my other favs is MaryJo's in Gastonia,NC. Don't get to visit them as much as I like, but when I do get there, my credit cards are smokin when I leave :) & they do mail order. Gotta love free shipping!

Kris

I love Cosmic Cow in Lincoln Ne. First it is very close (walking distance) but the owners are great and very helpful. Love the look of the store and love what they carry. I can always find something.

Jean

My favorite shop, Shiisa Quilts, closed last year here in Bloomington, . We all miss Janet Mease, the owner who moved to California. So now the closest one that I love is The Stitching Post in Washington, Indiana. Stitchingpostquilts.com

Karen

sounds like fun but as I have no local quilt shop I will be here at home - the closest quilt shop in any direction is about 85 miles from me - to me that is not local! Arkansas does not have many quilt shops other than in the NW corner of the state -- of which I am not!

LeAnn

My favorite quilt shop is Quilts and Other Notions in Creston, Iowa chiefly because of the owner, Joyce Franklin. Joyce is warm, welcoming and creative, and she loves fabric. I can, and have, spent entire days there.
