This is the first one to be finished for my quilt along!!
Lola's quilt... Lola is my 'doggie niece' ... I see her tomorrow!
Want to see how it went?
First some unsewing of the binding.. do you know how hard it is to unsew a blanket stitch? I just ran the seam ripper under a bunch of stitches.. FASTER that way!
The Top!
The back!
The middle.. LOL!
A mix of cotton and batiks, I love doing that!
A pretty shot on my front porch
and the back again!
Now onto the "Secret Garden" .. I love this quilt! I have no idea why it didn't get finished. Pattern is written and has sold a zillion copies, but I seemed to have rolled the quilt up and didn't realize I was not done! (CLICK HERE for the pattern)
I have a lot of it quilted, there is border spaces and the black zig zag to do.
The hardest part will be finding a thread color that matches as I don't remember what color I was using! And I'm not sure I kept any of this fabric line for binding...mmm... I will cross that bridge when I get to it.
And another upclose... off to work on it!

Making my new list of projects to do in 2013. Currently working on my Gail Pan embroidered blocks. Wanted that project, along with my stockings from your Seasons of Grace project finished by this Christmas. It was not possible. Too many family health issues and stuff so it's on the list for next year. I'm thinking that when the stores begin putting out their Christmas stuff in July, I will get inspired to sew the blocks together and get the piece quilted in time to hang the quilt for Christmas 2013. I find it easy to sew blocks while waiting in doctors offices and hospital rooms but then finding time to sew the blocks together and do the quilting is much harder. That's just life, I guess!
