If you hang around with me for any length of time at QUILT MASHUP, you know that the "C" word is Christmas.. and I try not to jump into the FaLaLa season too soon. I like to start the day after Thanksgiving... that's my gig!
But when the FABULOUS Sherri Falls asked me to join in on the Aurifil Ornament Blog hop I couldn't say no.... because it's AURIFIL and SHERRI! Which means it is FUN!
All the ornaments use the same base, each designer did a stitchery with Aurifil 12 weight thread, and i've seen some.. they are ADORABLE .. AND FAST!! Whew!!! See why I had to join in?
The fun begins today ...
Today, November 6 Sherri Falls, Gail Pan, and Amy Ellis all have GREAT patterns for you.
November 13th ... Anna, Pat Sloan(ME), and Emily.
November 20th Victoria, the Lizzie B girls, and Pam Kitty Morning.
Last week is November 27th, we'll finish up with Sarah, Bari J, and Roseann!
There are prizes!!!
Aurifil has given us thread sets that will be given away at the end of the blog hop. To be in the winner's circle you need to comment on each of the three blogs each week ...That means
comment at ALL 12 BLOGS on their day
winners will be chosen from those who commented after the blog
hop is over.
Roseann suggested if you do all 12 you can decorate a small tree ... or carefully pack them in an envelope and mail to someone special... I like both those ideas!!
Now I need to buy a small tree.. I've always WANTED a small tree
Are you ready? The get over to the first 3 blogs... here they are again incase you forgot
Sherri Falls, Gail Pan, and Amy Ellis
FaLaLa
Did you enter to win some of my fabric?
The photo? My "possible new ironing board cover"
What do you think? I'm working on a pattern with a limited amount of kits.. this is a leftover piece from those... i like it!

Check back for Gail's. She is in flight from Houston to her home in Australia. You have 3 weeks to do this so you have plenty of time to pick up her ornament.
Susan all the ornaments are embroidery for this hop.

I think Christmas all year long. My family and friends are quite used to it. I love Christmas and have over 500 ornaments that adorn a large tree that I call my Memory Tree. :-) I'll likely make a couple of the ornaments from the hop just so I can add a few new ornaments to celebrate 2012. :-)

I love hops! It's like going shopping without using gas! not to mention what you want is here, not driving to the store and the item you want not being there....
