Yesterday was a full day of travel to Houston ...and maybe we are unusual ...but we both love the driving. Yes it takes longer...but I get to bring loads of stuff
And maybe I am strange...but I love the down time in the car.
Looking out the window... reading... drinking coffee and stitching
Plus where else do you get to follow James Bond the" real007" who could use a new car..wink!
Check out this fan where we had dinner... wow!
Travel day 2 for our Houston bound trip!
Smooch..pat

I am the same way. Beck in the 80s I could drive the 1201 miles from my house in Houston (lived there 1980-86) to Mom's house in Ohio in barely over 24 hours straight. Now it takes twice that but starting out mid morning and spending 2 nights on the road from Ohio to Quilt Market. Wish I were able to be a part of it all this year. Have fun.

Oh I love going by car too. Gives me time to spend with hubby. Oh and speaking of hubby - is that your sweetie? He sure is a cutie. If he's smiling like that after driving all day and washing windshields, he's a keeper.

We love to drive, too. Everywhere. Our families think we are nuts, but the drive is the main part of vacation. We "discover" the greatest things when we drive.

we always drive to our destinations if we can - I love seeing the countryside and it is relaxing if you aren't a "rush, rush" type of person

The fan is made by Big Ass Fans - no joke - real company name! You'll see more of them as you get closer to Houston. My husband and I take many car trips. You can bring as much "stuff" as you can get in your vehicle, the leg room is much better and you can see where you're going. Have a great time in Houston! Welcome to Texas - we're glad to have ya!

It may "take longer" but you will arrive with some energy to start the "show".... Houston is just hard work.... and as the years go by the smart ones make it as easy on themselves as possible.... as Houston is NOT easy. Fun yes, but not easy.
