Sometimes a Quilter
JUST NEEDS TO SEW!
Today I'm hosting a LOW IMPACT Jelly Roll Race.
Do you own a Jelly Roll?
Have a Thread?
A sewing machine and some scissors?
Then you are ready to go!
My buddy Jenny did a great tutorial after she heard about the orginial idea from Heirloom Creations in SD
It's really easy to do and I've
NEVER MADE ONE!
But today IS THE DAY
Here is the original "Race".. it's so fun to watch!
This is a LOW IMPACT RACE.. meaning sew as you can today... and share when done.. or as you go!
What to do
- Grab a Jelly Roll
- Leave me a comment on this post saying you are sewing with me!
- If my webcam is working.. it will be turned on.. SEE IT HERE
- Leave photos of your finished quilt at my Facebook page HERE
- or leave the photo at my FLICKR GROUP HERE

I'm making my first jelly roll quilt! I'm sure it will be the first of many!

Trying to get there to sew. I have my jelly roll ready. Pinned on a quilt to quilt while I sewed and the backing was too small, so now I have to pin on another before I can start. Sigh!

I'm sewing along...or at least getting ready to. I'm using a scrappy variety of strips from an old swap and some others thrown in to make up the quantity needed. Curious to see how this comes out! Oh, and thanks Pat, for creating some fun time for us!
