It is count down to the trade show
I have a list of MUST DO EACH DAY items ...as I write this at 7:00pm there are still items ON the list for today... like.. must finish before I can go to bed kind of things.
And what did I do the other day? Ordered some fabric..some Halloween fabric.. like I don't have a HUGE PICNIC basket filled to the rim with Halloween.. but this was SO CUTE.. and on sale...how could I resist?
So tonight.. before I started this post and before I started dinner.. I decided to see what other fabrics would look good with this Halloween print. Some of my orange batiks, a black batik with specs.. and a green stripe... sweet eh?
Well this is actually a panel! Line is called "Costume Clubhous" from Riley Blake
Isn't it ADORABLE?? I found it HERE for you.. on sale! Because I know you want to get one too.
Really what happened is when I wrote my newsletter (CLICK HERE TO READ IT) I shared quilts and pages from My Learn to Machine quilt book. This got me inspired to make one of these quilts in Halloween fabric.. thinking there IS time.. really.. if I made it more FALL then Halloween i can keep it out for November.. good logic right?
Should I put it on my list... you know.. the HAS TO BE DONE TODAY OR ELSE list? The list that is made PRIOR to market??
alrighty.. you are not much help are you? Are you going to tell me to go for it? To go dig in my big basket for options?
While you are mulling over the sanity of telling me to start this... did you order your Red Apple Lane patterns... and maybe kits too?
Look what Ms. Dilly-Dally herself wrote yesterday... I LOVE to have partners in crime.. I mean sewing!
CLICK HERE to visit here! It's fate I tell you.. fate!

Cute panel. I mean how long could it take to sew up a little lap quilt. ;) you know that sleep is overrated.

Maybe this will push you to get through the "Must Get Done List", and then that will leave you time to work on the new project. If not....there is always next Fall/Halloween!
P.S. Like your new Profile Pic on FB. Did you get a new haircut? Looks very nice.

Since Halloween is also my sister-in-law's birthday, we are all forbidden to do anything Halloween-related. I made a Fall-type pumpkin quilt top for her many, many years ago - no faces, no witches - but she hated it and told me to keep it for myself.
What else rhymes with witches? Okay, a bit cruel, but it really hurt. I threw the quilt top in the garbage and then took it back out and used it myself. She never visits, so she'll never see it.

I would put it on a "make if there is time" list.
