I took Happiness Key outside yesterday for a photo shoot! I thought you might like to see how I quilted mine. I do very simple quilting, so what I did is very doable if you can freemotion quilt.

Side view... fun eh?
I still think I need to add some buttons to the center of the palm tree.. but it's not happened yet. It didn't happen during this round of photos... wonder when it will?
The little House.. I LOVE this house on the beach
The border was simple to quilt...gets it done!
And Mermaids for the backing... I love this fun fabric!!!
Happiness Key is a 6 part series I made with author Emile Richards while she was waiting for the 3rd book in her series Happiness Key to come out. We had SUCH A BLAST. Her novellinia now has to be purchased but it's very reasonable. The series is amazing and my quilt group had a blast doing this together at Quilt Mashup

Like you don't have enough to do, but I vote for the buttons : ) Happiness Key is the perfect name.

It looks awesome! Love all the quilting in the applique pieces, really makes them pop even more. My HK really is out of the box and ready to quilt. Hopefully this month.
In any case seeing anyones HK makes me happy, thinking about the fun we had doing it. And all the chatter on mashup about making the quilt.

Love, love, love it! I'm going to hand quilt mine since my Bernina is in storage, but it's finally pinned and ready. And now I'm inspired.

There are coconut buttons for sale somewhere. They would be perfect in the palm tree, don't you think?

Love it, Pat!!! This really was a fun quilt along, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks again to you and Emilie!! I hope others go to the Flicker group also, as there are so many great ideas others had to change it up and make it their own!
Can you tell me who made the mermaid fabric? I've been looking for some - no not lobsters - LOL!!!

I love your quilt, Pat. The quilting really made it pop. The new pictures (especially the close-ups) really show all the details you put into the quilt. I like your free-form technique, and I think I am going to try that on a sample, to see if I can do it.
