My Easy Peasy Summer Breezy Learning Center Beginner's Quilt Along
say that 3 times fast...
what's IN that sashing anyway?
Rick Rack! or is it Ric Rac? Either way I used it!
Once I decided it REALLY needed rick rack in the sashing.... I of course did not HAVE any the right color. Or even NEAR the right color. So off to Etsy I went and ordered up a bunch of navy rick rack.
I'm now well stocked...
So how does one hang this quilt when it's breezy?
Try and get it to hang flat
Working on it....
oppss! Wind kicked up
LOL... well I might finally get this under control
There we go!

Love the colors - the rick rack and the blue fabric in the setting triangles make me swoon! I listen to your radio show while quilting (glad I can get the ones I've missed). What a fun job to get to talk to so many interesting people!

Hi Pat, I LOVE the rick rack. I'm doing the Free Craftsy.com BOM and I'm using all repro 30's fabric. Rick rack in the sashing will be perfect!! Thanks so much for the idea.

The rick rack looks good with your fabrics and setting, like an outline.

Love the ric rac, very clever! My dog is a miniature dachshund, his name is Grady. He is our third, the first was Gertie and the second was Gus. We think they are the best!
Thanks for the chance to win some great fabric!

SOOOO perfect and so pretty! You did a great job and this is just the ticket to feature all those gorgeous fabrics. I am a HUGE ric rac fan -- but never could figure out the correct spelling either!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful summer quilt, Pat! Using rick rack in the sashing is a great way to change it up a bit and make it more interesting. Looks very pretty! Looks like you had fun making it and trying to get it to behave for its debut pictures!

It looks great Pat. I worked on one of mine last night. I have it in two big pieces. I will back and quilt each piece then join them. The quilt along was great fun. (of course I am using my own sashing plan - and not waiting for instructions. LOL)
