I was so excited to start school (grade1) after watching my older sister head off each day. I remember being so disappointed the first day because we didn't get any homework! I'd been looking forward to homework (!). So my mom spoke to my teacher and she started assigning me words to learn how to spell, starting with: cookie. That turned out to be very handy. ;)

Best memory was of a group project our Advanced English had to do. The teacher divided us into 3 groups. He put the most studious in one group, the in-betweens in another and then there was group 3! We were just as smart as the others but we did tend to goof around more! Funniest thing tho'...guess who had the best grade? We did because we worked as a group. The whole paper was done by us all together while the others divided the work up and then just put them together without looking at the others work! Really made us "slackers" feel pretty good!

Best school memory was the year my best friend and I were in art class together. EVERY assignment we had to do, we did with horses as the theme. We did clay sculptures to paintings and charcoal work. Our art teacher was amused and I recall we both passed his class with no problems. Thanks for participating in the blog hop with such a wonderful prize too!

Best school memory...first grade teacher made me feel so smart. She gave everyone gold stars on our foreheads and I Worked for them;Miss Sloan was perfect for first graders. 2nd grade Miss Hunter teaching us writing. Mrs. McFadden with multiplication and division, Ms. Sloan in 4th and on & on... I walked to school, home for lunch and back everyday. So cold in winter my knees turned cherry red between knee socks and wool skirts.

My favorite school memory was "Close-up", a trip to Washington D.C. Me being from Alaska this was a BIG deal. Only my 2nd time out of Alaska (not counting Canada, as we were on the border). Senior in high school it was amazing!

Junior High School... back from holidays!
At the time, I lived in the country and rarely saw friends. I felt like a puppy playing with a new toy! *grin*
Tks for the contest!

My best memories of school happen each and every fall when my new students come into our classroom. It is always fun to meet our kids and get started on a year of learning together.

I can't think of a specific memory, but I know that I loved getting new textbooks every year. Even in college when I had to pay for them!

I have hundreds if not thousands of school memories--and almost every one was good. There is no best one--but probably the last good one of my own education is that on the day I was receiving my diploma for my master's degree I was absent-- because I was in China getting to hug on my brand new daughter!

my most favorite memory is the dark and stormy day mr luck, my grade 4 teacher, suspended teaching to tell us a story about being chases thru the wilds of british colombia by a sasquatch...as the story went on we were soon huddled 2 to a desk and shaking..the thunder clapped and lightening flashed...at about the moment things on the wall started to move...mr luck had hung things on the wall amongst our art work..to which he had attached strings...lol feathers started moving...shrieks brought out and children bolted from the room...most of us to this day remember that story..

One of my favorite school memories is when our accounting teacher threw water on us because we'd asked to have class outside. It was a nice day out. It was pretty funny.

My favorite memory was at our Catholic High School where the boys were downstairs and the girls upstairs. To check out the boys you tried to take classes that were hard and only 1 teacher did so you were in the boy/girl class.
