Hello hjzheqp hjzheqp,
The majority of cops are unethical, just as the majority of politicians are unethical, just as the majority of lawyers are unethical, just as. prokqbcxarl
good hjzheqp!!

Can't wait for yardage to arrive!

I use solids all the time. More now than ever. I love the crisp clean way that they show off printed collections. Matter of fact, I like solids so much that I'm doing a BOM with my LQS. It's a good way to stock up on lots of colors!

Barbara Sindlinger

I'm in charge of my guilds challenge this year and the challenge is to use only solids in a quilt. I will have a modern and traditional category so those who want to do an Amish quilt won't be compared to the very modern look of some solid quilts.

Jane Bitz

I've been working more with solids lately. I've got a strippy quilt in the works with a bunch of scrappy blocks on point set by solids in the strips.

Mary Ann

At least half of the fabric I have added to my stash this year has been solids. and the last 3 quilts I have made have white or Kona snow for a background. That's quite a change from my early quilts with mostly dark beige tone on tones. Next plunge is using something like that solid you've got up there Pat as a background!

I agree with Shirley, they are growing on me, I used to avoid them like the plague-but it's really a confidence thing for me, as prints are more forgiving. I have been "playing" with solid white. Blogs like Cottage Mama's always have so many "fresh" looking white quilts that I am falling in love with. I have two under contruction right now and can't wait to see how I do on the quilting.

Pat, your link for the quilt tutorial is not working. It brings you to your page with Fruits and Veggies fabric.

Yes, I do use solids, or sometimes I like to use a subtle tone on tone rather than just a plain solid. Both have their place in quilts. It depends on what I am doing. And, I am totally loving the color grey. I am working on a quilt right now that has bright batiks, and I used a grey tone on tone to go with it. I am very happy with the way it is coming out.

I've got a VERY small stack of solids.... I just wave to them, but this one could get me to use them up. Cute, but simple, for that sew inbetween something or when you just NEED to sew but have that "what" feeling that you don't want it involved. I've got the almost solids. (Then if I used up my solids - I doubt I'd buy more)

Shirley in Canada

Almost solids - yes; solids - no, but they are starting to grow on my with the colors I have been seeing lately ;-)
