Today I have run away
Do you ever have that feeling.. that things are building up.. you might be a Teeny Tiny bit behind
And the woes of the world will ALL go away if you just.... run ....away?
My local friends have all been pining for a day off.. to fun away .... not too far away... so off to Leesburg VA for shop, lunch...maybe buy a cherry pie.. oh yeah!
So as you read this I am unplugged and out of touch.... I'm hoping for an amazing day to hang out with my buddies and just let work go way for the day.
you know.. chill out!
We are meeting at The Cottage... shopping MIGHT happen.. who knows what goodies await us!
What are you doing today?
Have you left me a comment HERE...
for a possible PRIZE??
hurry!

Hope you had a nice time! Looks like a really cute shop.

Just catching up on posts since school started this week. I'm going to a mini retreat. We are meeting at a friend's house today at 1pm, spending the night and continuing till 4pm tomorrow. This qualifies as running away since I'm going to put all school 'to dos' on hold. Happy Labor Day

Sounds heavenly to be with special friends doing what makes you happy. Not been an exciting week for me - had two rooms and the stairs cleaned ... urgh! But, this too will pass and I'll be on to fun sewing and happier times soon.

Glad to see you had a good day. I'm a teeny bit behind and also "a day late and a dollar short" as my dad would say. I would love a visit to a place called The Cottage. And I love pie!

There's nothing like a day out with friends to get a fresh perspective on things. Hope you all have a great time!!
I spent the day doing housework and laundry, then packed because I am leaving to babysit my 11 mo. old granddaughter for the weekend and am so looking forward to it. She is so precious and provides me with alot of smiles, there just any room for problems when I spend time with her.

Friends and fun are not only necessary, they are part of the prescription for a healthy life ! (along with chocolate, of course) :-)
Enjoy !

Today and tomorrow its work, but Friday I take off with my best friend for 4 days of fun: seeing the Dave Matthews Band at the Gorge Amphitheater, going to the Farmers Market during the day and maybe a quilt shop or two thrown in. Gonna be so much fun.

Whenever I feel the need to run away I look to the west..originally came from Montana. Thinking about Rocky Mountains soothes my soul and lifts my spirits. Hope your day was filled with laughter and good fun!

Everyone needs to run away once in awhile. I know exactly how you feel. Enjoy your day and don't think about work today. You deserve a day off!
Love reading your blog!

That is wonderful! Have a great time with your friends! I did the exact thing this past Saturday. I went with two friends on a two hour drive just to have lunch at Cracker Barrel. Then we did some shopping at nearby shops (Christmas Tree Shop & Hobby Lobby), and then, after a stop for dinner, we made the trip back home. It was great, and we plan to do it again...soon.
