Pat Sloan I spy an Aurifil thread sale

In Charlottesville I got to hang out with my good friend.. the super talented Sarah Vedeler! She was teaching her unique machine embroidery over applique shapes and freemotion quilting. We had the best time even being able to have dinner both night together!!

Connie, on the left, took my workshop on day one. Then on the second day she brought in her version of Sarah's quilt. Her stitching and color sense are fabulous! Connie is a fairly new quilter but came from the world of garmet making.. I loved getting to know her!

Winner of the Freespirit Christmas in July is Collleen!

The Christas project she is doing is "Im trying to finish a Star Trek themed quilt for my dad."

Thanks for telling us about the Aurifil sale. I ordered a few spools yesterday! Love that thread. I've never used the 28 wt before, so I'm excited to try it.
