My Home away from home the next 4 days..

THE Vermont Quilt Festival

Be still my heart.. the mecca of northern quilt shows.. and I'm HERE

and I'm TEACHING... woot!

On the way up I stitched a sleeve and new label on my quilt that will hang in Teacher row...

you can do a lot on a 11 hour drive

but you know what?

I REALLY don't like to stitch in the morning... YAWN... BORING BORING BORING

so it took me a long time as every 20 minutes I'd get on the internet

and check on my FACEBOOK FRIENDS HERE

or my quilt group HERE

or twitter HERE

Much of this drive was highway... we needed to get to the college to do check in before 8pm and that meant no stops on the 11 hour drive.

I tried to take some "Vermonty" photos.. of barns... and cows... figure you didn't want the sprint car race track or Joe's porta potty farm and heating company (serious!)

I teach the next 4 days at the college.. so come find my room and pop in ...say hello.. I really want to meet you!

Tonight (Thurs) is the opening ceremony.. so I'll see you there.. it's also my 32nd wedding anniversary.. don't tell the Shipping Dept I told you!

Saturday night I'm giving a presentation.. there are almost 300 people already... are you going to make it?

Look for my car in the parking lot!

I would love to visit the Vermont Quilt Festival but it would be a longer drive than 11 hours. Someday when my husband retires, it might happen. My license plate is "SEWHAPY". My grandson loves it and thinks it's so funny when people "get it". Sometimes I've thought "SEWCRZY" might have been more appropriate. LOL!

There was a Far Side cartoon that had a business "Fill Dirt and Croissants. Maybe it was based on your Porta potty farm...

Still hoping I cn take a ride up there it isn't that far but we shall see what the next few days brings me with all the stuff going on here... I do need to work on third quilt for magazine... Thanks for your inspiration Pat I am on a roll. 2 down and a thrid on the way YEEEEHA!!!

So wished I had realized you were going to be teaching! I would have made an effort to go. Once again you are in my neck of the woods and I missed you. Enjoy! You'll be fabulous!
