After a fabulous four days of teaching and hanging out with quilters in Paducah ... we are on the drive home.
Have you done much driving across the country? Coming from the city I am so used to being able to get stuff just about anywhere ... like a bottle of water .. coffee .. LUNCH! YES ...LUNCH in caps. It took us an hour to find some food once we headed out.

Now I am messing around with hexie format..like?

Love those fabrics!! I drive through Kentucky every month and there is a stretch where we only have a couple truck stops between Cincinnati and Louisville. It's a drag if you get hungry. LOL

I know what you mean about being a spoiled Mid-Atlantic person! I just drove home from Kentucky last week (my mom lives out there). I always pack snacks and drinks, because driving through West Virginia, you can go for long stretches with no place to stop. Love your Hexis ~ definitely a great car activity :) Safe Travels!

I traveled with my hubby from Florida to Kansas last fall, and it was the first time we experienced the long distance between civilization ;-) It does pay to have a small cooler with water and snacks in your car. Enjoy your trip home!

We just got home. Tired. Now we have to pack for DAllas. Leaving bright and early tomorrow. I hope you didn't stop at Patti's. I'd heard about that for years and finally went a few years ago. Worst food I ever tried to eat. Major Yuck!
