My friends from Lark Crafts sent me this wonderful book to review.
Did you know my official SECOND quilt was a doll quilt?
Because I wasn't sure I'd like to take the beginners workshop, so I took the doll class instead
and I gave the quilt to my little niece... sort of wish I still had it!
Let's take a peek... 24 little quilts made with love by an amazing group of designer.
This one is by my buddy Heather Bostic at http://alamodefabric.blogspot.com/
Heather is crazy about pillows!
The ticker tapes are such fun.. I've not done one yet and REALLY want to.
it is by the author Cathy Gaubert http://handmadecathygaubert.blogspot.com/
And my favorite in the whole book is the chair quilt by Lucinda Jones from http://septemberbird.wordpress.com/
I am having a "chairs on quilts" obsession lately.. really.. what's that all about?
You know the deal.. leave me a comment by dinner time APRIL 6...
and leave comments at my Thursday AND Friday giveaways
"Have you made a doll quilt?
What did it look like, who was it for?"

I haven't made a doll quilt yet but I've really been thinking about it. My little girl is just getting into playing with dolls and I think she'd really like to have one. It seems like a great way to use up scraps!

I have never made a doll quilt! Might be time to start!

Wow - it's been a loooong time - made for my stepdaughters' Cabbage Patch dolls. I know who I would make the chair quilt for, though - a lovely little two-year-old who is seriously into polkadots!
What a fun book!

The book looks wonderful. My kids and I have made several doll quilts. Some are very scrappy and a couple are miniatures of my large quilts.

I'm making my first right now! Okay, officially it is a miniature checkerboard for my little boy, but since it is 4x4 inches, I'm calling it a (micro) doll quilt. I'm just about to bind it.

I have not made any doll quilts, but what a great idea, I bet they go together pretty quick and a great way to learn a new technique.

I have made doll quilts, but I call them 'littles'. I use them with other things for displays on my tables. Would love to have a book of the doll quilts.

That book looks adorable! Doll quilts re a great way to work with a color combo you just want to try out before committing to a larger piece!

I have never made a doll quilt before but since I have little nieces it would be fun to make them one. Thank you for the opportunity to win! :)

I have not made a doll quilt yet but the modern quilt guild that I am in is going to do a swap. It should be fun.

I have never made a doll quilt. My first quilt was a wallhanging, then a lap size rag quilt, then a king size quilt. That's it so far.

I just put a little rag doll in my sewing room on a rocker. making a little doll quilt for her would be too cute.

I've never made a doll quilt specifically, but considering that I have a 4 year old daughter I should probably get right on that!

I had leftover string blocks and little bits so made doll quilts for my two oldest grandnieces. It's about time for me to get cracking on making dollie quilts for the next 3 grandnieces. Thanks for the chance - those projects look great to use to make these little girls happy campers.

The pictures from the book look great. I want to make one of those ticker tapes, too. I made a doll quilt for the daughter of one of my dear friends. It was for her American girl doll and was made about 20 years ago. It's hard to remember but I'm sure it was very simple. I had been sewing for years, then, but not really quilting that much.

I have yet to make a doll quilt. I've been eyeballing the ones on swaps, however....lusting.

I made a doll quilt for an Italian friend's first baby girl. It was a new idea for her and an American gift she could take back to Italy with her. Kathie L in Allentown

I have yet to make a doll quilt. I'm working on a larger scale in hopes to really hone my skills. I think making things mini is harder.

I have never made doll quilts. But they look great!

I wish I had a reason to make a doll quilt. Unfortunately I didn't quilt when my daughter liked dolls and now I only have grandsons. So maybe I could make a dump truck liner instead. Love that chair one. Miniature projects are my fave -- get bored too easily for anything big.

I haven't made a doll quilt and I'm not really clear on what makes a quilt a doll quilt. So I could really use that book! Looks lovely too.

I haven't made a doll quilt, but I have a vintage doll bed that really needs one!
