My friends from Lark Crafts sent me this wonderful book to review.
Did you know my official SECOND quilt was a doll quilt?
Because I wasn't sure I'd like to take the beginners workshop, so I took the doll class instead
and I gave the quilt to my little niece... sort of wish I still had it!
Let's take a peek... 24 little quilts made with love by an amazing group of designer.
This one is by my buddy Heather Bostic at http://alamodefabric.blogspot.com/
Heather is crazy about pillows!
The ticker tapes are such fun.. I've not done one yet and REALLY want to.
it is by the author Cathy Gaubert http://handmadecathygaubert.blogspot.com/
And my favorite in the whole book is the chair quilt by Lucinda Jones from http://septemberbird.wordpress.com/
I am having a "chairs on quilts" obsession lately.. really.. what's that all about?
You know the deal.. leave me a comment by dinner time APRIL 6...
and leave comments at my Thursday AND Friday giveaways
"Have you made a doll quilt?
What did it look like, who was it for?"

WINNER POSTED ...

Last year my oldest granddaughter celebrated her 7th birthday with her other set of grandparents. Since her BD and her grandpa's BD are close they had a combined party with some Spiderman thrown in with her girly party stuff. When I went to visit she requested I make her a blanket for "Baby Bear", the teddy bear we had given her when she was a baby. She is never without that bear closeby! And it had to have a party and Spiderman. So I made her a little quilt with a table of cupcakes, and Spiderman flying in the air over it with a bunch of balloons. She loved it! With 3 little granddaughters I will be making more doll quilts, I'm sure and this book looks like so much fun!

I love making doll quilts. Thanks for the give away. If I won, there would be many choices for Christmas presents for the little grand kids.

I haven't made a doll quilt before, because I haven't had a little girl to make one for. My son and his wife are expecting and will find out on April 27th, if it will be a boy or a girl. Thanks Pat for offering this give-away.

I have been making doll quilts for a doll group I belong to. Love the small quilts. Lets you try new patterns, but they don't take forever to make and are much easier to store. I would love the book so I can continue making new and fun quilts.

I made a doll quilt for my oldest Grand-daughter's Birthday then for her sister's birthday she helped design one for her too from G-ma's 2.5" squares. I love the dolly quilt in the book that you are showing with the chair.

I made my first doll quilt as a fabric challange project. I gave it to my children's pediatrician as she was a doll collector .

I haven't made a doll quilt yet. Keep saying I will someday. I certainly have enough scraps to make quite a few!

I have not made a doll quilt BUT I made a quilt from baby clothes and I have enough scraps left over to make a baby quilt. That's my intended use for them! It's on "the list". Thanks for the giveaway.

I haven't made a doll quilt. It seems like I always have something else that needs to be completed first.

My first quilt was a doll quilt for my daughter's American Girl doll: Felicity in a pattern and colors that I thought would look Colonial.

I have made two doll quilts. One for my grandaughter that has raggedy ann dolls on it to match to dolls I made for her, and one to go on her little craddle. They look so sweet. Thanks for the chance to win.

I've made 'proper' doll quilts for my twins' dollies, and a few minis too - good fun!

I've never made a doll quilt either, but it seems like a great way to use up scraps and have something already ready for a gift.

I haven't made a doll quilt yet but as I'm planning to make a quilt for my baby that's due in July it would be a great idea to make one for my daughters doll so she doesn't feel left out.

I LOVE doll quilts! I made one for my daughter and I've made one for one of my own dolls....It doesn't get any better than to create a mini work of art that will be loved by recipient and her doll both!

I just bought fabric for my six year old grandaughter. She has her own Hello Kitty sewing machine and I am so excited to help her make a doll quilt. This will be her second quilt that we worked on together. I say "start'em young"! Thanks for the chance, Pat.

I made a doll quilt for my sisters daughter. I love to make small quilts, that way I get things finished.
