Amy Ellis of "Amy's Creative Side" is one of those friends you meet and have an "instant" bond with. We email, we do events back and forth at our blogs, and I love it when I even meet my freinds in person! Amy has a great blog with a strong community and she shares so much. I was excited when her first book was released and can't wait to see what she does next!
Let's learn some FUN FACTS about Amy!
If you were a salad, what kind of dressing would you want poured all over you? I would want a balsamic vinaigrette over me. Sweet and tangy, with lots of depth!
If you were a car, what kind would you be? Car? I'd be an Aston Martin, the classic shape is fantastic!
Who would play you in a movie version of your life? I would love to have Tina Fey play me! She's a mom, super creative, and smart!
What is the quilt you shared? Selecting a favorite quilt is always a hard question! Truth be told, there's a number around the house that are considered favorites, but today my favorite is Modern Maze. I love it because it is a simple block, but the results are really fun. It was one of the first few quilts I designed on my own, and it's in my book, Modern Basics, which makes it even more special!

Funny thing is, so many people think I belong in a sports car and I drove a 73 Corvette for over 12 yrs - I could pack that thing like no one's business. I regret trading in my van - no not the conversion, the window van. I love to go junkin'. The little Impala I have now, just doesn't allow me to do what I want, plus I knock my head on the window. That van holds some dear memories of taking my daughter and grandkids places. I guess I'm just a family gal that likes room for all!

Let's see...I kinda like RED pickup trucks! I wanted one for my 50th birthday, and my husband "almost" rented me one for a day. But he figured I'd be too disappointed to see it pull into the driveway and learn it really wasn't mine! He was right; I'm glad he didn't rent it!

What kind of car would I be. Well, my alter ego says a 70 Chevelle SS with a hood scoop, raised letter wide tires, jacked up in the back and to complete the package, a glass pack dual exhaust muffler system. I can hear the rumble now. Gee I loved that car. But, since I want to remain on friendly terms with my neighbors realistically, today my reliable Volvo S60 with heated seats is perfect.

Hmm I've never thought of what kind of car I'd be. If I was younger I'd say corvette, however, now I'm more like the reliable work truck. hehe.
