Are you just a wee bit Competitive?
- Do you like to be the first to finish in class?
- Do you see how much fabric the 'other quilters' are buying and then buy just a bit more?
- Are you there when the doors open to get the BEST things at the quilt shows?
- How about your bags? The coolest and best for carrying your quilty stuff?
- And let's talk about those gadgets... are you the first on the block to have the newest to show off?
If you are than WE WANT YOU for the Moda "SLICED"Competition!
- Sliced is an online sewing competition where four crafty people will compete before a panel of judges.
- They will have 5 days to use their creative talents to develop a project with a sewing basket of mystery items given to them on the first day of each week {crafters must provide their own items}.
- Once they have completed their project, the panel of judges will critique the projects from each challenge and will decide who will be SLICED and who will continue on to the next week and a new challenge.
- We will have a surprise guest judge each week of the competition.
- The competition will run March 4 - 31, 2012.
- Each week, someone will be "Sliced" from the competition until only one winner remains.
- Do you have what it takes to become the next Moda Bake Shop Chef?
AND Guess who one of the Judges is??

Oh Maddie, I am such a noivce when it comes to thread! I appreciate any advice you can give on it. I use a poly-cotton blend because a teacher in a class recommended it... otherwise I'm completely in the dark. PS. You are the best twitter friend & everyone should follow you!! :) :) :)-- Kristina, aka @nerdysewist

So that means that the 46 dmcoerats who voted against ClarenceThomas were racist. The dmcoerats always do things in a bigger waythan republicans. Bigger racists, bigger spenders and now pelosiwill have a bigger new jet to commute in.

I did the McCall's Quilt Design Star just last year. This audition is just too close and requires more stuff used that I don't have. Looks fun though.

My first thought was oh Shirley...where are you? Looks like a fun challenge. Wish I were a designer.

Oh! You don't need four friends to sign up with you? That's different! interesting! Let's see if I can come up with something.

Not really the competitive type although I do enjoy a challenge sometimes (like the Cloud 9 block project). The month of March is full with family things and other committments so wouldn't have time. I agree with Deb.....Shirley should do this. :-)

Not competitive to that point. I would love that prize, but I'm not going to b/c I'm not playing. LOL Love you thought, Pat.

too bad you have to have four friends join with you, or, I'd accept the challenge.

I think Shirley NEEDS to do this! I will be a cheerleader.

How much do we get to see while it is going on. I love watching "Chopped" on the food network. Can't wait to see what is in the mystery sewing basket.
