My best and worst Valentine are the same. I was in nursing school, and hubby to be was working delivering furniture in the evenings and going to school in the daytime. He bought me some beautiful roses before he went to work and put them in his car. Six hours later, after the roses had been in the car in super cold Nebraska February temperatures, he brought them to me. They were beautiful for about five minutes, and then they thawed out and started to droop. But I loved them as they were the first flowers he had ever given me.

Hmmm, well, my most interesting Valentine's Day gift was a huge bunch of pink carnations. My husband was working in cemetery upkeep at the time, and you guessed it, they were left after a funeral!

I think the funniest was about 10 years ago from my sweetie! The cards I get from him are always so traditional and somber it feels like the same card year after year. He loves me tons but just isn't good when it comes to cards. So anyway that year I don't know what happened but I opened my card ready for the same 'ol same 'ol and when I opened the card the loudest 'wolf whistle' I had ever heard in my life came out of the card. It scared me and then I laughed so hard I wet my pants. Now every year I am prepared because I never know what might pop out of the card. He never fails to surprise me and keep it fun. Gotta love the guy and I do!!!

Hello
I had my funniest and favourite valentine moment a few years ago. I have been married for over 20 years and I received a valentine at work. When I opened it loads of red confetti hearts tumbled out all over the floor at my mailbox. It made me laugh and was the talk of the steamie for the rest of the day. However I know the card wasn't from my husband and to this day I have no idea who it was from :-)

My mom wasn't overly demonstrative when it came to giving gifts other than birthday or Christmas, but she got a kick out of surprising us with Valentine's Day gifts. My sister and I recently talked about getting knee socks with hearts on them and how that was such a sweet gift, especially from Mom!

Too common I know but my husband proposed to me on Valentine's Day 31 years ago with his mother's engagement ring. It was very special to me! My second would be when we were struggling with $$ and my daughter wanted to buy me something expensive and we had to talk her into a big pink acrylic heart on a key chain. She was so disappointed that she didn't get to give me something more substantial. Aww so cute!

Well my first gift for Valentine Day had been .....from my mom. I live in Italy and 30 years ago 14 febrauary wasn't very commercial like now but my mom said I was her love!
After marriage me and my husband got the habit of getting a day off from work and just pass the day together....I just love that!
Thank very much for the giveaway

We don't really do much for Valentines but when my husband and I were dating he would send me three roses and he said that meant "I Love You". The next time I received six roses so of course that meant I Love You twice. I was confused when one time I received five roses. I think the flower shop shorted us one rose but hubby said it still worked. " I Love You Very Much". I thought it was cute.
Thank you, Rowan, Aurifil and APQ Radio for a generous giveaway and a chance to win.

The only gift I remember was a big box of candy from boyfriend in high school. I saved some of the candy for years. I don't want candy now and told hubby 'no' to candy and flowers. Instead we spent time at Clifty Falls Inn. We walked around and explored both in the park and in Madison. I loved it.

Least favorite Valentine's - a college ex-sweetheart bought a last minute small chocolate candy box at a discount the day after Valentine's Day and gave it to me - and he wasn't a poor student either.
Thanks for the chance to win some lovely fabric to make up for all those bad Valentine's Days from the past.

Hey how about this year - so fresh in my mind. My wonderful hubby brought me a dozen long stemmed beautiful pink roses and a big bag of peanut M&Ms and took me out for a fantastic dinner. Wow! We had fun!

My husband doe not do much for Valentines Day. To him it is just another day. Last year was the worst because I was sick and we could not go to dinner. You would have thought that he would at least give me a card since I was sick, but no I did not even get a verbal Happy Valentines Day. So this year he took me to have crab legs for dinner. He thinks that made up for last year. LOL

Beautiful Valentines! A few years ago my husband and I saw three movies at the theatre, one a day over the Valentine Day weekend. We have never done that before or since, so it's special memory! Thanks for giveaway.

One of my most memorable Valentine's Day was in the second grade when Joey Desmond gave me a huge valentine! It did not fit in the shoebox mailboxes we made! I had to take the giant card home on the bus, and my brothers and sisters teased me about him really liking me! I was pretty clueless, but knew something special had happened. Nothing became of this... Joey..are you out there?

My husband and I don't truly celebrate V-Day...it's more like everyday! But he knows that I *love* cards and every year I look forward to receiving one of his love notes to me...makes me cry. every. year! Oh how I love that man!!!

My most memorable Valentines gift was when I was carrying our first child. We lived in Northern Canadian mining community. I was HUGE and overdue. Chocolates were out of the question. Flowers unavailable. Naughty nighties?...you have got to be kidding! So my Valentine aka Mr. Practical who always aims to please, went out and bought me the ironing board I had been whining about having. Forty two years later as I iron my pieced blocks and quilt rows I have to smile as I think of how I got my ironing board on Valentines Day. Thanks for prompting such a great memory and a chance to win your fabulous give away!
