The last four days have have been AMAZING fun!
You visited EIGHT friends of mine and left comments (reminder... you still the weekend to get in on the prizes.. scroll back, click to their blogs and leave comments to win a Sullivans edge ruler!)
You left ME comments everyday. And on Tuesday (HERE) I asked what YOU want to know about me!
So let me answer three of the questions
Question 1 - Am I married, have a family, does my husband (if I'm married) work with me?
Yes I'm married for 31 years to Gregg (the shipping department, travel agent, accountant, and many other hats). He works with me full time. This is a family business that we have successfully run together since Jan of 2000. I like to say he does the jobs I don't like to do! If you hang out with me at Facebook, my quilt group or come to events, you'll hear and MEET him! (ps.. we do not have any little people.. just us. We do have 9 nieces/nephews)
Question 2 - How did you get into quilting and did your mother, grandmother, great grandmother quilt?
My mother hates to sew, her mother didn't learn to sew until she was in her 50s, my other grandmother did not sew.... and my great grandmothers did not sew (although one collected old clothing and hoarded stored them in a spare room.. now we all wonder.. what's up with that?)
I don't know that my mother knew what to do with "this kid that wanted to 'make stuff'" ..so she just gave me money for supplies and I made lots of things!
CLICK HERE to read an interview i gave about how I got into quilting
CLICK HERE to see the story of my First First quilt
above is my OFFICIAL first quilt.. a beauty eh? The novelty print has petroglyph shapes on it. I do not know what my beginner teacher thought of me, but I do know she often said my fabric choices were 'interesting'..... mmmm
Question 3 - Do I really drink that much coffee?
mmm... what is MUCH??? I love coffee.. I pretty much drink gallons of water a day along with a lot of coffee. Coffee with milk, no sugar..and I RARELY eat the yummy donuts but just had to share this photo as I am craving donuts while writing this.
My favorite coffee? Hot or Iced Latte from Starbucks... Starbucks cards are welcomed.. in case you wondered what to get me... wink!
ps... there were almost 200 questions for me...I think I'll answer them over the next few days.. months.. maybe year..
Any question YOU would like to ask me? I'll answer them all!
TOMORROW come back and get all the bloggers recipes
AND ONE FROM ME!!!!

Thanks for a week of fun. I want those donuts. I also wanted to actually post and enter on all the blogs yet couldn't because keep receiving and error message on Lizzie's dreamlaughcreate blog.
Error message is something like this:
Failed to load data for element:"product-list" data-uri:"//spreadsheets.google.com/
feeds/list/
then a long string of letters and numbers before ends with
/default/public values

That would be a store bought two tone blue comforter on my bed. Really lame I know. Sorry, Pat it's nothing exciting, but it's warm. Sometimes too warm it seems. Thanks, Kd

I've come to the conclusion that I need more coffee in my life. There was a recent study that suggested that women who drink coffee are less depressed....looking at you and the amount of energy you have I think they might be right! :o)

Great blog hop Pat. Thank you. I had seen the post before about your first quilt but do not remember the part about the backing ummmmmm fabric. LOL Too funny you used that entire sheet, piping and all.
Just to send another thank you.....thanks SO much for the picture of the donuts. Huh? What? There was something other than those in that picture? really? Never noticed because I am SOOOOOOOO craving donuts right now and have been for about three weeks. I really need to either make some or get to thre local bakery before they close some day soon.

Pat!
I have had such a good time meeting your friends and reading their blogs. You are so much fun...You make me young again! I sent you my version of coffee latte...but here it is in case I did something wrong.
Chai tea concentrate, almond milk, zap for 2.5 min. Froth. If you want a real boost, add one and only one, dark choc truffle, one shot of espreso or strong coffee. Heat and froth. Oh so good and you still get the caffeine.
I do so want to win a ruler but if I don't you have introduced me to it and lots of really neat people.
Love,
Mary

I only wonder how anyone actualy likes coffee. The caffeine I understand, but actual coffee? *shudder* I prefer caffeine to be cold, sweet and fizzy.

Those were very good questions to answer. A little insight into your very interesting and busy life. I wonder how you get it all done. I can send you my kid if you want him for a while.. but of course I will want him back :) Just spoil him a little then ship him home.. He will love me even more LOL. An adventure for him and then he won't be BORED!
