This is the quilt that started the whole thing
The Egg quilt.
I was working in series with a LOT of sunflower quilt fabric
And then I decided what would this look like with a novelty print
Eggs....Easter Eggs to be precise
Do YOU own the Easter Egg fabric?
I'm pretty sure they still make it
At one point I believe ALL Quilters were required to own some....
let me know if you do!

No Easter Egg fabric, but I have a piece of Easter (pastel) M&M fabric! Now THAT is a random thing to own! LOL!

I didn't see the egg fabric through the beautiful churn dashes!!! Love it. May have to GET some egg fabric to make the same quilt. LOL. Just kidding. I can 'float' my churn dashes on some of the large floral prints I have waiting around here for inspiration. Thanks Pat!

I had that egg fabric, I believe that I have used it all up. Might still have a tiny scrap or two. LOL I loved that fabric.

Of course I have that fabric...I'm as addicted to novelties as you are...I even recieved that fabric in a block of the month exchange where we had to put something in a basket...I still haven't used it though! My weakness is the food fabrics...I have all the fruits and veggies plus lots of cakes, cookies, candy, etc. Your book is a great inspiration!

I think I have some of that fabric, or one very similar.
It is made up into a skirt and vest. And yes, I wear it.
Have some left overs, of course, that will make it into a quilt someday.

I don't have that egg fabric but I do have some other egg and bunny fabrics. That's my favorite block ..... churn dash or Hole-in-the-barn door depending on the book you find the block pattern in. I love that block in any fabric!

OH no! Pat help! I had NO idea quilters were required to have egg fabric. Maybe that's why I can't seem to get started making any of the gorgeous quilts I see on all the awesome blogs. I don't HAVE egg fabric yet. LOL

I don't have the Easter egg fabric but I have a huge piece of jelly bean fabric for some reason. I'll have to see if it's enough for that quilt and make an Easter quilt for next year. Great book Pat! I love them all
