Well no WONDER I like it!
I have Karen's Stone's pattern too!!!
Remeber when I interviewed Ami Simms on my radio show? And we chatted about the Alzheimer Initiative? This is their booth at Festival. There are always quilts online that you can buy to support Alzheimer research...so CLICK HERE!)
And the challenge which ended yesterday... they raised a LOT Of money!

Well I was VERY confused and I don't have a block in THIS issue.. but loads of my friends do!!! Start hopping around and you may just win a prize

Guessing that those fabric bundles are a quilt kit.
I use up some of my fabric for charity. I make the Reach for Recovery Tote Bags with Pillow for the underarm. I also get donated fabric and cut up kits and the sewing/quilting group that I belong to help me make the bags. Last year I delivered over 100 totes to our local breast surgeon, who personally hands them out to his newly diagnosed patients just before or right after their surgery. We used to give some to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society also, but they have closed the county office in my area.

I love teh stitching on the flag as well! Eleanor is a hoot, I'll be listening for sure on that day! I met her at EXPO last spring in Puyallup. She marched up the aisle in her top hat and tails, pulling the strips out of her hat like 'magic'.

I saw that flag in Knoxville, and just stared at it for the longest time.......It's hard to see from the picture just how intrique it is.
Got to love Elenor!!! She is one incredible woman with an amazing story, and no one tells a story like her. She cracks me up! I give her a standing ovation! Thanks, Pat for more photos!
