I had an ez bake oven and I loved it. I loved the idea of baking my own cake and the fact that you could do it with a lightbulb was fabulous!

This toy kitchen would make me want to cook and I do not cook if I can avoid it. Love it!

I had a brown metal kitchen. Dad built me a playhouse in the back yard up on stilts with a big porch under a huge pecan tree. (He stored yard equipment underneath it.) Half of the playhouse was my kitchen, and the other half was doll bed, child rocking chair and all my dolls.

I spent many happy hours out there. We still sit outside under that tree when I go home.

Sarah

The little girl across the street had a kitchen we used outside to create our mud pies. It was so much fun. Most kids today don't want to get dirty, much less "play" in the mud. I had an Easy Bake oven in early elementary. I have always enjoyed cooking since that time. About this kitchen - do you think that thee would a real one like it. That would be such an awesome kitchen!!!

Amanda

I never had a kitchen, Nana had a real one that she let us play in all the time (supervised of course). My daughter has one in her cubby (a sink and hot plate) but up until recently my husband was served all manner of 4 course meals from the kitchen. The cubby is getting a little small for her now maybe one more year.

I had a little metal kitchen - but most of my 'cooking' was done in the dirt with a piece of wood for a 'stove'!! My mudpies were the best in the neighborhood!

Erica K

I did! My mom would give me pretzels and water to 'cook' with, and I made her come to my 'dinner table' to eat my food. She hated it! :)

I absolutely love that kitchen, and yes, I would love for my 3yo daughter to have it, but $700! I can't do that....just can't!

wishes, true and kind

Aren't they ridiculously cute? I wish my kitchen was that cute! My kiddos are too old -- but maybe one day, grandchildren!

Melinda

Oh - I want the red kitchen, now! I have been thinking of painting my cabinets red. It can't look worse than the bad wood that is there now.

Jess

I had a wooden kitchen growing up. It was white with red roses painted on it. Very pretty. And I had an easy bake oven also.
My three year old would adore that pink kitchen!!

Bonnie from Colorado Springs, CO

In the 50's I think I had the same metal kitchen as Debbie. I loved it, too! Gosh, I'd forgotten about it!

Jan in TN

Yes, I had a kitchen while growing up, but that was so long ago, I don't remember a lot about it. I do remember a little wooden "hutch" made by a relative that we kept all the dishes and "silverware" in, and I remember cooking things. No, I never baked in a magic oven - no such thing at the time I was a kid! :)

We did indeed have a kitchen - it was plastic. I remember the little sink had an actual stopper and we could fill up the sink with lots of bubbles. We also had a little washer with a top loading plastic door and a crank on the side - I can recall putting the doll clothes in there and spinning as hard as we could with the lid open so the clothes would come flying out!! We played with that stuff down the basement for hours - I swear my Mom locked the door!! Thanks for the trip down memory lane! Piece...

Back in the fifties, my aunt had an adult size kitchen like that!! Even the outside of her house was painted pink. When I was a kid my kitchen was about 2 feet tall and metal, but I loved it so much!

margi

I HAVE to HAVE that kitchen,,,I want an adult size now! LOL
