****UPDATE - I added more Nikki FAT QUARTER packs to my store... click here ****
We've had fun chatting and sharing Kaleidoscope blocks. Where you take the same part of an image and make a block repeating that image, like the old fashioned Kaleidoscope toys.
I found someone on ebay selling kits.. these daffs are pretty cool!
And the discussion always makes me think about a pinup girl quilt I saw years ago at my guilds quilt show. I loved seeing legs in one pictures, faces in another.. so fun! Went searching for GOOD pin up girls.. found this one with hearts.. and some beefcake men.. woot woot!
Women at The Tattered Rabbit..
Men.. everywhere.. hehe.. but most specific at equilter...
And the ULTIMATE Kaleidoscope quilts are by Paula Nadelstern.. wowser are these amazing!

And........ Lisa just posted her Elvis Charity Quilt the other day. It is made with hexagons using the Elvis Blue Hawaii fabric... and it raised $1,700 for diabetes research, isn't that WONDERFUL!! Drop Lisa a note at her blog.

This is funny -- I have both of those "pinup" fabrics, girls and boys! If I'm not mistaken they're both Alexander Henry, or it could be Robert Kaufman. Can't remember for certain. I'm planning to do Shirley Stutz' Easy Elegant Lone Star with at least the men. Possibly the women too, though I haven't decided on that one. I just LOVE both of them!

Too funny! and such a coincidence....I just purchased Marti Mitchell's (sp?) Kaleidoscope ruler last weekend to try my hand at a kaleidoscope quilt!

Marilyn Foreman of www.quiltedmoments.com has a great series of kaleidoscope patterns done with 4-patches. No set in seams or odd shaped pieces and you only need 4 sets of repeats. Just finishing up one - great directions too!
