Pretties....

Some pretties I purchased recently. These are flowers made for scrapbooking by Prima.

They make loads of types from little flowers in small milk bottles, to jars, and these tins of BIG LUSH flowers! They are so big they fit in the palm of your hand.

I want to put them on the front of a journal or a purse...  so yummy and they make me happy just to look at them!

Map Central

ok... this is for those of you who have to work today and were not off shopping like a crazy person at 4:00am this morning.

It may seem odd but it's REALLY COOL (and fun.. I admit it!). Make up a map with any and all statistics you can think of. This is a government site and it let's you select a zillion options and show the information on a map.... really!  Try out Climate (where is the most lightening) and History (Territorial Acquisitions) and Transportation (amtrack).. to name just a few.

Besides a Thanksgiving meal with friends and family what else do you do today? Well you watch the Macy's day Thanksgiving Parade and wait for Santa to appear!!! Of course you KNEW that right???? LOVE this parade!

When I was at my Granny's we would watch it together and comment on all the floats and acts.. fun fun memories!

I miss these...

I used to live in Belgium. One of the things I TRULY miss are the local Belgium Waffles. Not the 'light as air' kind.The ones I miss are heavy and laden with chunks of warm sugar.

They can be bought in all kinds of places, but the very best were the ones made right down town. There was a little hole in the wall with a dutch door. You ordered and they made it fresh... YUMMMMM!

So the other day I got a newsletter about things in New York City and LOOK WHAT THEY HAVE!!! A traveling Belgium Waffle truck.  Yes... Really... Now I NEED a trip to New York to find the Wafels & Dinges truck... yoo hoo... over here big boy!

Has this ever....

I was up at my usually 6:00am.. got a newsletter that sent me to Quilter's Quarters website where I found.. CHOCOLATE CAKE fabbie!! Oh my... PURE OBSESSION set in... this was a pillowcase kit and I wanted the fabric only.  I searched, but it was not on their website. I emailed (but wasn't sure they were at work at 6:00am...hehe!)

So then I did a quick search and came up empty handed.. DANG!

Shot an email to my yahoo group who found it for me rather quickly HERE (yeah for girls who are up as early as me AND obsessed too!).  Not soon after the first shop emailed that they DO have it, but not on the web yet.(so they MUST check email in their jammies too!)

When it comes to FINDING things... sometimes I really must find it NOW .. if not SOONER.  Has this ever happened to you???????????????????

ps - At market I saw another GREAT new cake/candy fabric and I think it's from Kaufman but can't remember.. UGH! I'll need better notes next time!
