Fall Quilt Market ...

Happy Halloween everyone!! Do you have on a costume??? If you do... send me a photo or at least tell me about it!

Quilt Market is such a GREAT event for people in the industry. It is our 'twice a year' fix of seeing our friends, customers, and business partners. I went this year and did 2 book signings, showed my fabric to customers and worked at catching up with everyone I have not seen for a year.

Since I'm a designer and not a shop owner, market is a bit different for me. I go to market to meet my customers and share my work with them. I also go to work with my business partners and to see what's new with them.

This year I went to work with my partner's in their booths and that gave me some extra time to walk the show and look at what everyone was doing. I'll do a few posts from the trip over the next few days.

Today I've got the P&B ladies who set up the booth. They came into Texas early and went to the Alamo. They took 7 hours to do a 3 hour drive... because they are GOOD SHOPPER girls!!  Here they are wearing their 'No Worries' t-shirts found at a road side store.. SO FUNNY! (if you know the store let me know.. I forgot to write it down!)

Next 2 photos are of the New Product area. Vendors can rent a space here to show off their newest wares. It's a great way to have a fast preview of the products that people rented space for. The first shows all the new lines from P&B and the second was next to us. It is The Vintage Spool display... I loved her sea things!

I SO loved reading all your Comments from the posts that came up while I was gone! Answers to a few questions-
--The 'wool cutter' is to cut perfectly sized yarn strips for doing latch hook rugs.
--I now have a good list of places that carry the Altoids sours.. THANK  YOU!! I hope to find some soon.
--My badge holder is a 'remix'. I took a pre-made badge holder that has a logo at the top. I covered the logo with fabric & buttons... 'wha-la'  NEW... CUTE Badge holder!
--Watch for more Ferris Wheel stuff ... I think I DO NEED that t-shirt or maybe the votive holder... I just LOVE looking at them! Thanks Cathi for posting some other 'news worthy' tidbits on the ferris wheel.. history is good!

Back from Houston

I'm BACKKKKKKK!!! I can't wait to share everything with you that I found. Watch the blog over the next few weeks for my thoughts and PICTURES of what is incredible and exciting out there in Quilt Land.

The other week I decided to get out my very first sewing basket to see what was in it. Yes I did keep it .. in all it's 60's glory... a plastic basket with a red polka dot liner (see.. I DO love polka dots!).  Mom do you remember this???

Check out the needle holder.... a POCKET!!! How clever I was.. hehe!

A little bit of Elvis in the Sewing Room

This trash can just makes me giggle! Get one at Wicked Cool Stuff... where they have LOADS of neat things!

Today I'm flying off to Houston to attend the fall Quilt Trade Show. I'm looking forward to seeing friends, meeting new customers, putting faces to email names, and seeing ALL the cool new things out there! I've taken a BIG notebook and my camera... will report when I get back on all that is found!

Tangerine Sours

I bought a tin of Altoid Tangerine Sours awhile ago..and bought a second one... and now I can't find them anywhere! 

Have you seen these somewhere? I think I got them in Target at the check out, but they don't have them.

Please send me names of places that carry them... thanks so much!!!

The Ferris Wheel...

I'm crazy about Ferris Wheel images at the moment. There was a commercial with a little boy... something about creativity... and he was looking for/at Ferris Wheels. What was that commercial for???

So I spotted this FABULOUS hand silk screened t-shirt at Maryinks Esty shop. It's a night time Ferris Wheel... with all the twinkle lights it's the best kind don't you think?

And a pop up card at Oliveoyls's... isn't THAT cute! Do you see the cars are presents.. just too adorable for words!

I might have to do a bit of retail therapy...

This post should REALLY be 'Candy Corn LOVE'.... I just went CRAZY over this Buggy Barn quilt with the Candy corn border!! Those buggy barn girls are SO CLEVER!!
